UIII administers its academic programs using a credit-based system, in which each course carries a defined number of credit units reflecting its scope of study, contact hours, and expected independent workload.
The total number of credits required for graduation, and their distribution across coursework, comprehensive examination, thesis, or dissertation, is determined by each study program in accordance with national higher-education standards and University policy.
Academic years are divided into semesters as set out in the official Academic Calendar, and may include a short semester where offered by the relevant faculty.
