Overview
The Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at UIII equips students with strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills to understand and address complex public policy challenges at national and global levels. Initially focused on climate change policy, the program has expanded into a broader public policy program that examines the societal impacts of climate-related and development challenges, particularly in and for the Global South. Students develop analytical, research, and critical thinking skills needed to design and evaluate innovative, sustainable, and evidence-based policy solutions.
The program offers several areas of concentration, including climate change policy, climate-related disaster mitigation and adaptation, and climate-related public health, allowing students to tailor their academic training to their interests and career goals. Graduates are prepared for careers in research, policymaking, and professional practice, with the ability to formulate effective policy strategies and engage with diverse stakeholders at national and international levels.

Course Details
The Master of Public Policy (MPP) focusing on Climate Change requires the completion of 42 credits, consisting of 36 credits of coursework and 6 credits for a capstone project, to be completed within two years (four semesters). The curriculum integrates climate science, public policy, analytical methods, and independent research with a focus on the Global South.
